  • Editor-in-chief of Eastern Panorama – The largest circulated English News Magazine of North East, since its inception in April 1992 with readership of above 10 lakhs.
  • Producer and Director of Television Programmes.
  • Associated with many Central and State Universities as subject expert on Mass Communication and Video Production.
  • Ex-Lecturer St. Anthony’s College Shillong.

  • 1981 M.A. (NEHU), Shillong
  • 1989 Ph.d – Guwahati University Guwahati.

Publication:

  • Over 250 articles on various subjects published in Eastern Panorama news magazine of North East since April 1992.
  • Authored a book “North East – Between the Lines
  • Co-authored a book on “Role of Voluntary Organisation and Sustainable Development in Meghalaya”
  • Authored the book “Monologue – Public Speaking Made Easy”.
Television: 
  • During the last 10 years, has produced and directed over 74 documentaries for Doordarshan/Central Government including 16 for National Network of Doordarshan, New Delhi .

Seminar & Workshops :

  • Participated in many National, Regional and Local Seminars and presented the papers. Conducted classes for AIR correspon dent on “Reporting in Conflict Zone”.
  • Also conducted classes on a time to time basis for senior police officers on the topic “Police Media in the service of Democracy” organised by North East Police Academy, Shillong and many others.
  • He is the Secretary General of a Research NGO PANECEA (Policy Alternative for North East and Conflict Elimination Awarness) since its inception in 2000. The founder of this organisation was Late Prof. R. Gopala Krishnan. The organisation has organised a series of seminar cum workshop. The first workshop on the subject “Role of Voluntary Organisation in Sustained Rural Development-  Thrust, Problems and Prospects” on 27th June 2000. Organised National Seminar on Blue print for development of Assam . Minister Mr. Tarun Gogoi was also present. A   seminar on the  Agenda for co-existence and socio-economic development was organised on 27th June 2002 at D.C’s Conference Hall, Dhubri. The Panecea also involved itself on the study of Human Trafficking with special reference to North Eastern Region in 2007. A study on ULFA activities in the Nalbari District of Assam completed in 2008. Apart from this, Panecea organised direct video conferencing with Prof. Stephen Phillip Cohen of the Brookings Institution, Washington DC.The purpose of discussion was to discuss the contents of his book ‘Indian Army’. Secretary   General of Panacea Dr. K. K. Jhunjhunwala presided and the Governor of Assam Mr. Ajay Singh was the Chief Guest. The Panacea has also published 3 books on North East.
